FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything we get asked most often — in full transparency.
How many people can dine at the table?
The big dining table comfortably seats 10 to 12. Larger groups can squeeze in — and in practice, one solution works very well: the kitchen is large and has its own dining corner where teenagers or the youngest can eat before joining the group for the evening.
Is the house wheelchair accessible?
The ground floor is entirely step-free, with direct access to the terrace. The downstairs bathroom is spacious and the toilet is wide. In full transparency: the house is not officially adapted to accessibility standards. Wheelchair circulation is possible with assistance, and sleeping downstairs is entirely possible (living room with independent access to the terrace). The house may therefore suit, depending on the person’s mobility — write to us to discuss before booking.
How does check-in work?
Self check-in via a smart lock, at whatever time suits you — perfect for late Friday-evening arrivals. The indicative check-in time is 4 pm, and arrival and departure times are flexible on request, subject to availability. If you give us an approximate time, we try to be there to welcome you and show you around.
Are the pool and hot tub open all year?
The pool (4×2 m, unheated) and the hot tub are open from late April to late September, included in your stay. Please note: they are unfenced — children must be supervised by guests at all times.
Is there a cleaning fee?
No, none. Everything is included, with no hidden fees: household linen, spa, pool. We simply count on you to leave the house tidy and clean on departure (dishes done, bins taken out).
Are parties really allowed?
Yes: the house has no immediate neighbours and full privacy, so you can celebrate freely. We simply ask you to keep the volume down after midnight out of respect for the village, to respect the number of guests declared at booking, and to enjoy the place in a friendly, respectful spirit.
Are pets allowed?
⟦To be completed by the host — pet policy to be confirmed.⟧
Is there a security deposit?
⟦To be completed by the host — deposit amount and terms to be confirmed.⟧
Can we smoke in the house?
The house is non-smoking indoors. You may smoke outside, in the garden and on the terrace.
Where exactly is the house?
In Loucelles (14250), Calvados — about 15 minutes from Bayeux, 15-20 minutes from Caen and 20 minutes from the D-Day landing beaches. The exact address is shared after booking confirmation, as is standard for short-term rentals.
Can we charge an electric vehicle?
Yes, charging is possible on a standard 230 V socket, and the large car park has a 6-space covered shelter.
Are your dates available?
We usually reply within the hour. All inclusive, no cleaning fee.
